La STARK S.p.A. intende modificare il processo di trattamento termico di rinvenimento per i dischi in HSS destinati al taglio dei metalli, in quanto il processo attualmente determina una trasformazione dell'austenite in martensite con valori residui che non scendono sotto il 3% mentre una revisione progettuale della fase di rinvenimento potrebbe portare il valore sotto il valore di 1% con benefici tangibili per il prodotto finito e con una significativa contrazione del lead time di prodotto.
Obiettivi
Diversi gli obiettivi che l’Azienda intende raggiungere tra i quali riduzione del lead time di almeno 3 giorni lavorativi, abbassamento della percentuale di austenite residua ad un valore inferiore di 1%, incremento delle prestazioni tensili e qualitative del prodotto a parità di durezza superficiale dei taglienti, riduzione dei consumi energetici fino a -5% dei valori attuali.

Alongside the "traditional" blades (series "LEGEND") suitable for cutting both metal and wood, you will find the new series "EVOLUTION" (chrome blades for cutting wood) and "FUTUREX" (coated blades for cutting non-ferrous materials, wood and dry cut).
EVOLUTION, NEW CHROME-PLATED / LOW NOISE BLADE LINE
Chrome-plated coating is an anti-corrosion coating that protects the blade from rust and also a non-sticking treatment: it helps wood chips to flow better so not to stick on the saw body.
The slots are filled with sound-absorbing resing which reduces the noise while cutting and also reduces vibrations during cutting so to improve finishing on the work piece.
Futurex coated blades, both new and resharpened, ensure incredibly better performances than classical blades!
SURFACE HARDNESS: coating increases hardness on the cutting edge so to allow the blades less wear out while cutting.
THE COATING acts as a thermal barrier between the cutting zone and the saw body so toavoid any possible blade deformation.
LESS CUTTING FRICTION: thanks to the low fiction coefficient, coating allows the blade to cut smoother and better.
NO MATERIAL STICKING ON THE BLADE: while cutting chips are flowing easly so to improve the finishing of the cut (less markes on the surface cut).
The benefits of what above described grant the following further benefits are as follows:
1. reduced machines downtime (granted by the longer blade life)
2. less machine power absorption: thanks to the lower friction while cutting the coated blade reduces the cutting resistance
3. less blade maintenance and grinding costs
The FUTUREX sawblade grants high cutting performances thanks to the PVD coating protecting the teeth and on the saw body.
After regrinding operations coating is removed (face and top), but always sticks on the side edged of the carbide tip where actually the frictions is present while cutting so to grant always outstanding cutting performance along the whole blade life.

Here under we present the highlights for every kind of blade:
HSS circular saw blade: It is an alternative to T.C.T saw blades for tube cutting. Thanks to its special steel and PVD coating , it can be used at the same peripheral speed of T.C.T. circular saw blades. The feed rates in the central area of tube crossing are 40% higher than feed rates of T.C.T. saw blades and so this blade cuts thin tubes 20% faster than T.C.T. saws.
It is suitable for carbon steel, alloyed steel with high tensile strenght, stainless steel, inox and no ferrous materials.
T.C.T. SAW BLADES THROW AWAY: During last years the tube processing technology changed a lot; steel’s higher tensile strength values, thicker tube thickness, faster production line speed are often required from the customers.
The new range includes:
OLYMPIC 100: suitable for hard material, cutting with low vibrations
OLYMPIC 200: suitable for stainless steel cutting.
T.C.T. SAW BLADES RESHARPENABLE: STARK OLYMPIC includes also a line of .TC.T. circular saw blades suitable for orbital cutting machines. For cutting tubes with big dimensions the customers are using orbital cutting heads equipped with 2-3 or 4 blades. STARK developed a new PVD coated resharpenable blade with special tooth shape with the target to reduce the effort during cutting and to reach a longer tool life.
According to the section and the material to be cut, STARK can supply different toothing geometries special developed to obtain the highest cutting performance.
STARK S.p.A. will present the new JOINTEX at the Xylexpo Fair.
